My six year old and I use the Five in a Row curriculum.   Most often, his ten year old sister listens in, and it is amazing how much she has benefited from these beautiful books.   More recently, we have also been using Beyond Five In A Row with both children.   Each book turns into a full blown study of culture, geography, literary elements, and so much more.  I HIGHLY recommend the Five in a Row curriculum.    If you have any questions, please send me a message and I'd be happy to answer them.  We've only been "rowing" a short time compared to some other bloggers out there, so search around and see what you can find.
